Traditional elegant family kitchen

My client, Robyn, wanted us to design an elegant family kitchen to be at the heart and hub of the new house she was having built, a place for all the family to gather at mealtimes and other times, and a good place for entertaining. The kitchen had to be practical and functional but also look good and blend in with the rest of the decor of the house. The large island is big enough to comfortably seat 6 without compromising the cook, and also allows the children plenty of space to do their homework under Robyn’s watchful eye as she prepares dinner.
We recommended 2 AEG side-by-side Pyroluxe single ovens with self-cleaning function and and lots of other functions including steambake, and also allowing plenty of space for cooking at Christmas time. The AEG 5 zone maxisense Induction hob (IKE85431FB) was an obvious choice for flexibility of pan size, efficiency and easy cleaning. Robyn particularly likes the timer so that she can par-boil her Maris Piper potatoes for 10minutes before putting them into the hot oven to make the best crispy “roasties” for Sunday dinner. A separate small built-in AEG microwave was fitted into the tall unit. She also chose the AEG tall integrated larder fridge with plenty of capacity as they live out in the country and the nearest shop is several miles away. The tall integrated freezer to match was installed in the utility room. Lighting was very important and can be altered according to the time of day and the desired ambiance. Robyn and her family moved into their new home in June and have said the kitchen is everything they hoped for, it works wonderfully well and they love it. They have just had their first party for one of the children and she baked all the cakes in her new AEG ovens.

Christine Chadwicks favourite AEG product is the Induction Hobs

The slim and sleek design of AEG induction hobs allows you to choose even the most contemporary of worktops without compromise.
